Life and times.

I'm Nick Lucido -- a twenty something living and working in Chicago (though regularly traveling elsewhere).

I enjoy writing, traveling, reading, spending time with friends and family, and perpetually searching for the perfect black pen. I live the dream on a daily basis and I love every second of it.

Google me if you want to know more about me.

Just so you know, this is my personal blog and it reflects solely my personal views on things.

Childhood at Next

Here's a few shots from my experience at Next Restaurant. It was the perfect way to end an insane week.

Seriously, it blew my mind. Kept on thinking, "so this is what food is supposed to taste like" throughout the evening. As corny as it sounds, the 9 courses brought up so many fond memories of my younger days, especially licking the batter from the beater. So delicious.

Big 10 Championship

After a few weeks with a crazy travel schedule, I promised myself I would not travel until going home for the holidays. That lasted three days.

I went with friends down to Indianapolis for the MSU v. Wisconsin Big 10 Championship game. Despite the loss (which you can clearly tell on the photo of Nate and Steve), it was a blast.

Back home in Michigan for the next week and couldn't be more excited about it. Is there really any better place to work than a comfortable couch with hot tea and wearing sweat pants? I think not.

East Coast Trip

OK, so I'm here on holiday break and going through my list of things I have desperately been meaning to do for months. MONTHS. Life gets busy and yadda, yadda, yadda.

Anyway, here are a few shots from my trip to NY, NJ and Philly this fall. Seriously, this trip was a blast. I got to spend time with some of my closest friends who have ended up all over the country, and this trips where we reuinte are always the highlight of the year for me.

In this batch:

  • Nate and I at WaWa. I think there were tears of joy in my eye.
  • We visited Irene's workplace, which has an awesome sculpture garden
  • The gentlemen. This photo is one of my favorites.
  • A gulttonous Phill Cheesesteak. Glorious.
  • We were feeling academic so we took a quick visit to Princeton
  • I know this shot is crappy, but this is my fist time playing Settlers and it ended horribly for Erin's car and I-278

Can't wait for the next one.

I took an extended weekend trip to Boston and absolutely loved the city. Had a fantastic tour guide who showed me all the cool sights and had plenty of fun. Some shots from the weekend...

Fall Football

MSU vs. Notre Dame this weekend was a blast. Besides how awful the game was, it was great to be tailgating and in a stadium on a beautiful fall day.

Man U vs. Chicago Fire!
